By The Nation

Floods that have hit 11 southern provinces since late last month have killed 22 people and affected 502,158 families, said the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department.

Chayapol Thitisak, director general of the department, told a press conference on Saturday that the floods affected 121 districts in 11 southern provinces from November 25 to December 9.

He said floods in the four provinces of Krabi, Satun, Yala and Narathiwat had subsided while 56 districts in seven provinces were still under water.

He said 18 districts in Nakhon Si Thammarat remain flooded, as well as 11 districts in Phatthalung, eight districts in Chumphon, seven districts in Surat Thani, six districts in Songkhla, four districts in Trang and two districts in Pattani.

After floods in the  south in 2016 and 17, I have no desire to ever buy a condo anywhere

south of Pran Buri, near Hua Hin. Weather seems too rainy. I feel sorry for all the people

affected by these floods and RIP to those who have died.
