Unless you have an AppleCare extended warranty, no redress.

 

If you'd rather not spend what Apple wants to replace the battery then there are plenty of non-apple shops that can do it for less (and possibly quicker).  Unlike other replacement components, having a 3rd-party battery replacement put in won't deactivate the unit.
