Give me proof of another more advanced civilization.

Just ask the millions of Americans who believe in Intelligent Design ...

(For the record: No, I am not one of them.)

That's not proof.

Do you seriously expect that there is any proof?

Because if there would be such thing don't you think this would be public knowledge?

I was responding to thaibeachlover who claimed that there were earlier more advanced civilizations, see post #29.

So you don't believe in aliens because you can not prove anything

but most of you believe in god can you prove that he exist ?

Who are "most"? I don't see too many here professing a belief in god.

It would be nice if I did because at my age I would like to believe in a heavenly reward for all my good works but I just think it's silly and the cause of most of the pain in the world.

I take it English isn't your first  language, something seems to get lost in translation.

I guess you are in Thailand so better get your (almost) heavenly reward on earth while you are here.

Already given. The buildings in south America. We couldn't do that now.

I know we are not alone,,,

have seen ufo's several times, in the prescence of others.

Disks, triangles and cigar shaped.

They break our known laws of physics.

Faster than light has been done in the lab, back in the 90's.

They shot a laser beam thru a container of cesium gas.

Worm holes are real.

Parallel universes are mathmatically proven.

What if 'they' are inter-dimensonal travelers?

Could explain how they can suddenly vanish.

Or could they have a cloaking device?

Perhaps Naam can enlighten us.

Don't forget to wear your foil hat! Next time you see a UFO try to get a decent pic, sick of these grainy pics of saucepan lids.

No, I'm serious, get a photo. Just hard for me to believe that with all the recorded sightings no one has got a clear pic yet.

Who was it who said 'the surest sign that intelligent extra-terrestrial life exists is the fact that non of them has tried to contact us'?

i think it may have been another example of the wonderful wit and humor of the author, Douglas Adams; famous for the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy BBC radio series which was later released in book and television.

We're both wrong.

It's a quote from Bill Watterson, author of Calvin and Hobbes.

Calvin: (as they are walking and come upon some trash in the woods) I was reading about how countless species are being pushed toward extinction by man's destruction of forests. Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.

That man is a genius, and knew to stop when he ran out of ideas.

I miss the humour though.

His intelligence is so far beyond the norm though, that perhaps he is an "alien".
