Room Rates In Lamai Beach - Any Cheap Options?

Featured Replies

Hello all

I'm heading for Samui for the first time soon and want to spend a few days at Lamai beach.

Are there any cheapish rooms to be had and how much?

I'm in Pattaya at the moment and have a room with air-con for 250B per night - I guess this would be unlikely in Lamai?

Yes...for 250 :D

Maybe 600...maybe :o

No, 250 is possible. Think I paid 'bout 300 for a room opposite wmc training camp a year ago and found cheaper. Walk up the hill from the muat thai camp and ask, before you reach the ring road

Saman's Guest House near the centre of Lamai has clean, comfortable rooms starting at 250 baht. Ring Dick, the owner, on 08109 16169.

I doubt thats with air con!

Was it Boon bungalow, have to walk up a steep terrace & the bungalows are on the left hand side?

If it is I lived there years ago, used to pay 2k baht a month for the last bungalow before the big house at the top of the hill :o Ah the memories.

Good price I must say. Was that with a/c? And how was the bungalow? Asking since I rent a 1 bedroom house (Bang Rak) for 6K and if I could get something cheaper, that would be great.

haha, no samuijens, it was a basic wooden bungalow with concrete bathroon with a hose. It was also nearly 7 years ago which was why I was asking. The rooms were crap but a good location & I was drunk for most of the time so didn't really care or notice how bad it was :o

Just as I thought! LOL :o

Well...you get what you pay for :o

Not always, if you overpay (at times when there are sold out hotels, and they raise the price, you get the same, actually you get less service)

BUT CHEAP rooms on Samui? THEN.....you get what you pay for.

Just drive to all , and ask how much or go in the hotels for Samui or "resorts", You can get for 800BT, but NOT at all places that have a/c. Good luck, I do not know the resorts in Lamai, but there are other here that might help!
