if he was negligent and caused her death he is killer.  I  can t imagine that it was his intention to kill her mostly because he obviously didn t have an escape plan.    are all killers murders? no murder requires intent and premeditation.

is he a slimy piece of faeces?  no doubt about that, he knew she was at least badly injured, made no effort to help her, stole her phone, a motorcycle and hid out.  I hope he rots in Thai prison

So you agree with me, cool.

By the way he says he didnt steal the motorbike, he rented it and it was due back the next day. Minor detail in the scheme of things but important nevertheless.

So he had PTSD .  From his brother :

When he left he had some mental health issues and so he fell in with the wrong crowd here in England. He got into a bit of trouble.:

Reece flew to Thailand for a new start four months ago, they said. His family rarely heard from him.

So why didn't he get treatment at home ?

There is another current news story of a man taking viagra and losing the plot .

It could be that theres some dodgy viagra doing the rounds ?

Wasn't that down in Phuket?

Yes who knows what these tablets sold in beer bars are in reality.

I don't think it unusual that a 25 year old would take a bar-girl.

Probably easier to find than a non-working girl willing to come back to his room.

It's sad, young girl dead, this guy in a messed up situation, that could see him locked up for a long time. Still, the death needs to be answered for.

It's been reported that his visa had expired and he was wanted in connection with the theft of a motorbike.

I would say it takes a special kind of  dick to leave without  checking or  helping her after an accident like that, sex or not.  If you just out  for innocent  fun and that  happened I  am not  sure i  know anyone that  could zip up and walk away unless there was some hate involved and a feeling they thought they  could get away  with murder.  Sure cant  be that hard a job for forensics to  tell what really happened.

Apparently, they were having spiced up sex with opened liquid viagra found at the scene and used condoms.

This fantasy sex apparently moved to the balcony and the rest we know. I completely agree with you about a special kind of dick who walks away from a situation like this and doesn't even seek help or contact anybody. Instead, he goes and carries on like nothing has happened. He has arrested drinking in a beer bar. He then, according to reports made light of the matter and started laughing when the police arrived and when arrested, asked if he could smoke a cigarette!!.....

Sounds like a great guy, huh?......... Filth. On this occasion, I hope he gets a hard time from the cops for being such a despicable creep.

She was from Sakon Nakhon, somebody's 26-year-old daughter and hugely popular with workmates. She didn't deserve to die like this and just be left there in the road.

How easily we don't know, but drinking himself to death is compatible with the feeling of remorse.

I am not defending his actions btw, i was taught to respect and protect women, more so if they are guests .

I just can't imagine this guy as a ruthless criminal.

But, of course, i might be wrong.

This guy has a conviction against him in the UK for a violent rape for which he served time. He is a big guy and was in the army. He has been trained to fight. He likes small women. I think that is more than a coincidence.

No matter what, he will pay (if he can get the money) to reduce his time in prison, perhaps just to a few months on remand.

Another Vella from Worcester was sentenced to a long time in prison due to big time drug dealing. Related?

British ex-soldier arrested after prostitute fell to her death as they had 'strange, extravagant sex' on a balcony 'is a convicted rapist on the run from police'

Maybe just maybe the poor girl was so desperate to get away or endure some terrible physical or sexual violence that she opted to jump . Just one of many possibilities. Look at the guys previous, both in UK and Thailand. ..just my thoughts

Don't think so, working in a bar age 26 would have experienced all sorts of stuff.

It isn't really a 'fate worse than death'.

I feel sorry for both of them, unlikely she wanted to die, and unlikely he wanted to kill her.

Maybe the girl didn't think the jump would kill her , & didn't have much time to think it through  either. The threats could have included death and all sorts of weapons could have been yielded ( No not that one)..... sorry but all things considered and with all the more recent info emerging makes me think something like this all the more possible.

I'd be interested why there are so many Brits getting in trouble, of some sort or another, Thailand. If one looks at the death statistics there is something way out of proportion. Is it the binge drinking or some sort of arrogance that pisses off the natives?

https://www.farang-deaths.com/statistics/

British FO stats state you are 20x more likely to die while visiting Thailand than while visiting Europe.

Australia says the same for their citizens.

I believe them.

Over the past decade, tourist falling from buildings are assumed to be suicide, murder, or just an accident!

Sounds like the police have steered it towards an accident, just based on being arrested or charged with being reckless causing a death.

If the girl has no sings of being forced off the balcony, they police pretty much have to believe this guys story.

Which, he admitted she fell while having sex, so he would or should be charged on a few counts, but not some long term prison sentence for murder.

My opinion!

To add, the 1500 baht, it's been a few years since I've been to Pattaya, he paid her 1500 baht "before" having sex, then pushing her off the balcony?

You feel sorry for him? Have you read about his background before he came to LOS? Have you read how he laughed and joked about having a cigarette when he was arrested?

If you ask me the wrong person fell from that balcony...

It must be noted that his brothers are constantly using defensive techniques when interviewed in the UK by the newspapers such as he made mistakes, he was led astray with bad company, he fell into the wrong crowd, He had a few issues with drugs, etc. The usual one that it is ' always someone else's fault '

So he has already had a prison sentence for a violent rape, he is wanted at the moment by the police in the UK, he has previous for drugs offenses, they say he left the forces due to PTSD, when it sounds more likely his character flaws led to him leaving the forces.

He then comes to Thailand with a view to learning ' Muay Thai ' how many times are we hearing that one of late!!

The guy is 25 years old and he has managed all this already, so it hasn't occurred to him to go get a useful job in the UK? I mean he has another 32 years of his working life to make a contribution.

After arriving in Thailand he then engages with the beer bar and go go/hostess bar scene. He overstays his visa, he allows somebody in his company to fall to their death, he doesn't report it or seek help but moves location and hotel in the hope of evading police. When arrested he treats it as a joke, laughing and requesting to smoke cigarettes. He takes the young woman's phone for no explicable reason up to press, He has a charge of stealing a motorbike and has had next to no contact with his family since traveling to Thailand. He doesn't sound like the guy you want to take home to meet your family, does he?

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

And that poor girl had no idea she was getting involved with an animal like this. Convicted violent rapists should be branded on the forehead so women know what they're dealing with.

Why would a 26yo man need to be anywhere near bargirls [prostitutes], and on Viagra too? Poor girl probably refused unreasonable sexual demands and things deteriorated from there,[ it's amazing how fast the 'girlfriend experience' can turn nasty], violence resulted, girl gets thrown off balcony. If this is the case I hope he gets 50years in Bang Kwang.

Guys use it to maximize the boom boom while on holidays. Think of it like a sport with he who leaves with maximum points wins

And it`s people like you with your the obvious must be the fact that will mean the English guy will be assumed guilty to be proved innocent.

If I had been in his situation I`d probably had done a runner too, rather then have to face being a number one murder suspect. Sadly unless there is any CCT footage of what happened and I very much doubt there will be, then the guy may be facing months of jail time while under arrest, court attendances, maybe legal fees and media attention until if and when he is proved innocent. I feel sorry for the poor sod.

Sorry for a convicted rapist! unbelevable!  where do you come from?

He has paid his debt to society and is entitled to a fair hearing. No need to feel sorry for him but no need to throw the guy under the bus just yet.
Let the police and the court system build a case or release him, not rocket science
