Public/state hospitals

Featured Replies

For the sake of claiming medical expenses on a travel insurance policy, what is considered to be a state/public hospital in Pattaya?

Not talking about accident or emergency, just someone feeling unwell and needing a check up?, and hopefully no serious outcome.

Thanks in advance.

Pattaya City Hospital on Soi Boukaow, the one in Banglamung / Naklua and the one near Soi 7 off 2nd Rd.

If you are talking about Pattaya International then that is not State - it is a private Hospital

The third one referenced is Pattaya Memorial.

But I think it also a private hospital.

Banglamung and the fairly new Pattaya city are state hospitals.

Banglamung is very crowded (walked out with a sick friend to find a private clinic).

I don't know whether Pattaya city is better.

Thanks all for the input. I went to Pattaya City Hospital, very busy, very confusing. Now I know why the private hospitals are so popular.
