I'm not sure of the point you are making in this anecdote.. For 20 years I was getting vehicles taxed and tested, just as most Thai vehicle owners do. The standard of testing however is really I consistent. I think many expats can spent years in Thailand without fully understanding the part that graft nepotism and corruption play in all of Thai society. As soon as they start comparing it to their home country or anywhere else, you know they've got it wrong. Another point is the compared to countries like the UK, vehicles last a lot longer, simply due to the fact of the climate and cost of labour. -

Anyone done this? How does it work? I was told to to apply for a new replacement card on KPlus mobile app which I did. Now I am waiting for the EMS mail delivery to my address. The app says to read the instructions in the mail about how to get the new PIN code for the card. * My question due to logistics and to speed this up as I am not always at the address, is how is the PIN to be delivered, is it shown on the KPlus phone app or do I have to wait for another mail delivery to the address at a later date? -

Nuff said. Indeed.... that certainly explains how a motorcyclist would ride into a stationary object (the truck)... But... how did they 'know' the motorcyclist was using his phone at the time of the accident ? Is this something the 'partner' who was re-directing traffic observed ? Unfortunately, self preservation seems very low on the priorities of many motorcyclists in Thailand and I see them taking all manner of life threatening risks or riding with complete disregard for their own safety. The complete abandonment of self preservation is a part of the Thai psyche that I have never been able to comprehend. -

This push for cashless has absolutely nothing to do with criminals, and everything to do with control of the general population . Its happening every day , in many different ways. Electronic Travel Authorisation, Worldwide Taxation, and Limits on cash transactions. to name just a few of the more recent developments. There are countless other things happening often behind the scenes and often barely perceptible, but always allegedly for our safety, convenience, and security. The banks, at least in the UK have shown how easy it is for them to "debank" people just for holding controversial views or simply spending extended periods of time out of the country, It will be even worse once the digital social credit scheme is eventually in place, How will the fans of cashless survive should that ever happen to them? It would be pretty much game over without cash. So many stupid people playing right into the hands of the authorities, and they can't even see it. It is no wonder we are doomed Clause Schwab and the WEF along with all the others must be laughing themselves to sleep at night -
