webfact
Aussie man relieved of 300,000 baht necklace after Pattaya roadside embrace Picture: Pattaya News A 54 year old Australian man went to Pattaya police after a Thai woman stole his gold necklace that he valued at 300,000 baht. Christian Bart (name transliterated from Thai) told the investigating officer that he was driving a motorcycle around in the early hours and stopped outside a hotel in Soi 2 of Sai 2 in North Pattaya. A woman came up and started touching him up and cuddling him, he said, trying to make him feel drowsy. She left the scene before he realized his white gold necklace had been removed. Police are studying CCTV in the area to try to get a lead in the case, reported Pattaya News. Gunna
It looks like a European passport on the desk ( definitely not an Australian one as wrong colour ) so he may actually be Austrian - Or an Australian travelling on an EU passport, but unlikely for Thailand. That aside, if he did try to make a fraudulent claim for it he'd have to justify the value; insurance companies don't just pay what you ask for without making checks.
