Viewpoint for Blue Moon 31st Jan 2018 on the datkside

Any recommendations for a view point of the blue moon tomorrow night on the dark side.?

I am not sure what the big deal is with the Blue moon?  Sort of like going for an 18" pizza and you get a 19" pizza....no big deal.....??

Well it will be a super moon, a blood moon and a blue moon simultaneously. So that's pretty cool. I'll be looking for it.

Some people may mistakenly think the moon may have a bluish tinge or appear unusually large.

A blue moon isn't actually blue, of course, and blood moons aren't really blood red. As for supermoons, which occur at the point of orbit known as perigee, they're just a tad bigger and brighter than usual.

My question is. How do you get a full Moon regardless of colour at midnight directly overhead when the Sun is 180 degrees on the other side of the "Ball Earth?. Should the Earth not block out any light hitting the Moon?

The sun is pretty big. It is not often that the moon finds the little spot in the sky which is the Earth's shadow.

Then why do we not see the Suns light shine around the Earth hitting the Moon?.

A blue moon is the second full moon in a month thus it was both a blue moon and a red moon.
