In Pattaya ? Yes probably you need a certificate of residence to sell if the bike is in your foreign name.

No its in Bangkok, it won't be a major problem, if i sell my Ninja i will buy a new bike so i have to go anyway. But just wanted to be sure.

Ive sold bikes without a certifcate of residence in the past until recently.
I was told a new law requires you to have one for the buying and now the selling process.

I think its due to farangs being defrauded left, right and centre.
If it saves one of us from being ripped off then its a great idea.

Get 2 res certs when at immigration.

If you live here get a yellow book, then nothing  needed from immigration

Can't just photocopy it? Like you can for driving licences

Photocopy will only work if you do both transactions simultaneously..they see the original and copy.

Thanks for all the advice, i will be getting the certificates soon. I got some reactions from people who want my ninja. Not yet the amount I was hoping for. (actually put it up for 115 but was looking for 100.000) the offers are 90.000 (i can live with the difference)
