February 7, 20188 yr A commercial airline flight, MU7097, a China Eastern A320 scheduled from Jinan to Utapao circled the city eight times now and just broke out of the pattern to head north. Any ideas why it couldn't/wouldn't land at UTP? If the FlightRadar info is accurate, it circled at 4,000 feet, but has climbed to 9,000 feet as it heads north. PS: The plane landed at Suvarnabhumi at around 130pm.

February 8, 20188 yr seems it then later on the 8th flew bkk to utp, maybe some sort of problem either at utp or on board, but i would have thought due to circling a number of times it was a problem at utp, nothing showing on google

February 10, 20188 yr Maybe the visibility was too bad to land, so they diverted to Bangkok. Or the airport was closed, because somebody was sleeping ;-)
