Red-shirt linked weapons seized this week were from an old stockpile and would be of no use, a security source said.

The remark came after the police raided a condominium in Nonthaburi on Monday night and reportedly found several bombs linked to a red-shirt hardliner loyal to Wuttipong “Ko Tee” Kotthammakhun.

Rirkchapol Poolsilp, 53, a Yala resident, was arrested after an M26 grenade, four home-made small bombs, two pipe bombs and 20 large firecrackers were found in a room at Muang Thong Thani sondominium.

Deputy Police Commissioner General Pol General Srivara Ransibrahmanakul said Rirkchapol had admitted that he was a red-shirt military leader under Wuttipong’s command.

The security source said more weapons had been hidden in the area, but there was no sign that they would be taken out for use.

Are we still pretending Ko Tee is alive?

Does it really matter, this is an old stockpile like so many around for the red terrorists. Nobody said anything that Ko Tee was involved with this recently. This is just stored stuff from the time they were killing all those anti government protesters.

The same time the CAPO could never find anyone ... not so strange with the likes of Charlem at the help who would of course protect the violent group among the red shirts as it suited his agenda.

Unless Prawit is caught with another batch of expensive trinkets.

I doubt the red shirts are that stupid to start an other terror campaign. It would only work against them... then again they are not the brightest people around if they store war weapons in a rented apartment and don't pay the rent and the stuff is found while they get evicted.

No......but the police or army are stupid enough.  They just can't help themselves it's so ingrained.

OMG! Why would they be hidden if they were not intended to be taken out for use? :shock1:  Bulls hit!

That 'security source' should at once be sent to one of the minefields Thailand still, today, has quite some of, to have a frontline job digging out the lethal stull with a spoon!

The nuclear weapons developped by/for the N-Korean boy-dictator are also 'of no use', ...for now. And having had these made, and owning such, being able to use them, seems enough to me to be called extremely dangerous.

On a, admittedly, much lower level, that Ko Tee, together with all the violent red shirts, and other, 'sleeping' terrorist, should not get the opportunity to become 'active', get rid of them all, 'with extreme prejudice', when other, more 'humane' means, just, just seem to fail!

Wow. Well done in trying to connect the DPRK nuclear weapons program with the red shirts and their rusty ordnance 'finds' in Thailand. Elbow Hannity, David Icke and Glenn Back out of the way - your talents are wasted on Thaivisa...

Thank you 'baboon', but I was not trying to 'connect', rather making a parallel about being 'armed and dangerous'. For me a Ko Tee, and others of his kind, may they be red shirts or others, are a danger for the lives of others, armed and violent is enough for me to ring the alarm. To me a (potential) murderer of, say ten individuals, is as bad and mad as one with the lethal potential to murder millions of human beings. Not for you?

Maybe they keep flogging Ko Tee and bring him to life. I am sure they can scapegoat another red shirt leader and leave him in peace.

No need to 'scapegoat' anyone Khun Eric, there are enough red shirt leaders still 'awaiting' their Court appearance for acts of terrorism in 2010, and a lot more violent thugs under the Thaksin/shins' red banner who have never been prosecuted by the Dubai master's pretorian guard, ...the infamous BiBs! When you choose to open up that stinking closet, be ready to expose your sensitive nostrils to the stench...
