Because it's a world class sea resort with fantastic culture and exquisite cuisine according to some people on TVF who have neeeeeeeeeeever seen anything seedy in pataya or a fight or white trash. You have to go with the flow. You are not a citisen of thailand. Dont brake the law. Simple. Some police pin you for something you did not do. Stay calm. Bring it to head office. Dont argue. Same everywhere. You dont argue with the grunt police in the street. Same USA, same England and Norway... do as your thold. If you are innocent, make a complaint at the office. Comming 10 years in Thailand. I had my  controversy, my problems with police and thais. But keeping my calm and my with, i live through it.

I am a guest in this country and i am trying not to forget that.

well same here mate i live in pratumnak im 42 got 5 year old daughter been here 12 years never had a problem with pattaya it is what it is,its going downhill fast last few years but it was a fun place years ago,thing is no one forces anyone to go there if you dont like it dont go simple

Sure it is what it is. I think it's a waste and have nothing in common with the typical visitor: i don't like hookers, i don't like football, jetskis, shopping malls, traffic, fat blokes, etc. 

Some would say that Pattaya fulfills a function and it does.  If you are into sex, drugs and living on the edge it is a good call.  It would be helpful though if tour companies and travel agents were discouraged from trying to promote it as a family destination. It isn't

well thats the thai,s tryin to promote it as a family resort,total nonsense,i drink in pattaya all the time,no bar girls,drugs or hassle if you want it it,s there but you can still have a normal life there

Actually what they wrote wasn't factual, a 15 year old cannot consent to sex in Thailand, their parents can on their behalf.

Yes of course you can have a normal life there, I take your point.  However you will find the European holiday brochures show Pattaya as a family destination along with Phuket and other tourist resorts.  That, I feel is a misrepresentation.  By all means promote it but as an adult only playground.  Not talking about a place to live here, but as a holiday destination.

well most brochures dont really show pattaya,more phuket,samui or bangkok the main ones who get fooled are the russians,but they dont get involved anyway

The legal age for prostitution in England and Wales is 18. Underage prostitutes cannot give consent. The same applies to Thailand.

More and more couple and families are coming to Pattaya. Thousands of Chinese many Russian families around Pratumnak.

If you are 69 years old like this creep, then even a 30 year old woman is too young.  If he is buggering boys as young as that, he is extremely sick and perverted. Age of consent or minor, adult etc is secondary. There is a 50+ years age gap, revolting.

So you are telling me that when you are 70 you would turn down the advances of a good looking 20 year old for a few hours of fun in the bedroom?  

 

Why is that disgusting?  People like all different ages. Some young people like older or very old.  So long as the younger person is over the age of consent and want's to sleep with the old person then there is no problem.
