Trump to authorise tariffs as White House opens way for more exemptions

U.S. President Donald Trump warned the European Union on Tuesday it would get hit with a "big tax" for not treating the United States well when it comes to trade.

 

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House raised the possibility on Wednesday that impending hefty U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminium imports could exclude a clutch of countries besides Canada and Mexico as President Donald Trump looked set to authorise the measures as early as Thursday.

Cabinet approves tourism development plan for western coastal provinces

Thailand blasts Nigerian government over false claims on rice mills

NANYUKI, Kenya(Reuters) - The world's last male northern white rhino is recovering from an infected leg that raised fears over the past week he might have to be put down, a veterinarian at a conservancy in Kenya said on Wednesday.

BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Facebook on Wednesday reversed a decision to take down a video posted by a Hungarian political aide that blamed crime on immigrants, saying it was making an exception to its usual ban on hate speech.
