PHUKET: A Phuket policeman has been charged with reckless driving after he fell asleep at the wheel, crashed into a pickup truck and flipped his vehicle close to Bangkok International Hospital in the early hours of this morning.

 

Lt Sunan Petchnoo of the Phuket City Police was notified of an accident on Yaowarat Rd in front of Bangkok Hospital Phuket in Phuket Town at 2:40am this morning (Mar 8).

 

Lt Sunan, medical staff from Bangkok Hospital Phuket and Kusoldharm rescue workers arrived at the scene to find a white Honda Civic turned on its side in the middle of the road.

I guess from the absence of any comment on it, that Policeman do not have to take a breathalyzer when they crash in the early hours of the morning.
