Thai man admits stabbing wife's lover in the heart after following them to a hotel

 

 "Revenge for sleeping with my wife"

 

A Thai man has admitted stabbing his wife's lover to death after he found them naked together in a Chumpon resort hotel room.

 

Dead at the scene in Lamae district on Wednesday was 25 year old fruit and vegetable trader Panuphat Sirichot from Surat Thani.

 

Police announced the arrest of Chayan Reuangkhong, 27, on a warrant Friday. The murderer, known by the nickname "Boy Langsuan" was taken on a reenactment to various places including the scene of the crime itself.

 

He said that he was suspicious that his wife was carrying on with Panuphat behind his back using Facebook. After his wife was on Line and Facebook on Wednesday and left the house in her pick-up he called a friend and decided to look for her.

 

He found his wife's vehicle and that of Panuphat parked at a resort. He told his friend to wait outside.

 

He kicked the door of the room in and found his wife and her lover naked in bed together, he said. He pulled his wife's hair to get her off the bed and as Panuphat tried to intervene he grabbed him by the throat and forced him down on the bed.

 

Then he produced a sharp knife and stabbed him in the chest.

 

He left the scene in his wife's pick-up and took her home before going to Lang Suan Hospital where he was treated for a leg wound sustained when he kicked in the door of the hotel room. 

 

He then fled to a friend's house in Surat Thani where he was subsequently arrested.

 

He said that his friend had no knowledge of what he intended to do.

 

He has been charged with premeditated murder and detained.
