Hugging a tree in western culture in leadership classes is not seen as foolish by others?

I rather think that depends upon your concept of leadership!

I find the idea (hugging a tree) hilarious...

Just looks like one of those, 'ice breaking', 'team work', 'male bonding' activities which happen at teaching seminars, which make most people shudder with inward dread and embarrassment, and have me running and screaming from the building, with my arms flailing in the air.

The pictures showed Thai male teachers naked to the waist in front of females in the audience. Many senior civil servants were in attendance at the "training".

Who gives a shit about bare-breasted male teachers? In the name of emancipation, I demand to see pics of the female counterparts too! :passifier:

Yes, it's 'all part of the (slave) training' - like reporters dressing up as children on Children's Day and being honoured by the great Generalissimo's patting them on the head.

Remember that one? All part of the program(ing) ....

I'm sure you know what makes the difference between a naked male and female upper body, and if you don't, well then I understand why you are shocked.

Did you ever notice that the male swimmers at sports events all have a naked upper body, and they are watched by millions of people worldwide.

Yeah, well swimmers those teachers are not.

JUst had to have a quick check to make sure it wasn’t a sex Ed training seminar....

Reading the title , I hoped it was about one of those Japanese porn movies with lots of female teachers/office girls stripping .

I'd post a pic but ....

Asking someone who's built like Homer Simpson to bare his torso in public is humiliating, yes.  :passifier:

Equally bad, it shows the poverty of thinking among what are supposed to be educators.

Ok I get the point now, this forum is populated by insecure Homer Simpson like foreigners, and they are afraid that this one day could happen to them.

And the teachers all said, "Baa, baa, baa.".

Now the teachers will be expected to pass on what they learned in this session.

(In case you aren't familiar with what that means, it is what sheep say.)

Are ewe referring to female sheep? If so, they would be baa girls................:saai:

I think I know the answer!  A naked male upper body is the one with the bigger breasts.

And did you notice the body language of the guy closest to the camera... He doesn't look especially comfortable there. Just because guys are able to go shirtless in society doesn't mean that all are comfortable doing so.

Yes, for the most part it'd be the academically minded who are attracted to teaching, not those who look like fitness trainers. What about the humiliation inflicted on the guy with spots on his back, or man boobs? This "team building" exercise is nothing more than one of the hazing rituals copy-pasted from the Thai universities, no doubt they'd have gone much further with it if they thought they could have got away with it...
