PHUKET:-- An official notice announcing that the Royal Thai Consluate in Penang will close next Monday (April 2) “until further notice” is no cause for alarm, an official at the consulate explained to The Phuket News today (Mar 28).

Big C clarifies its mobile grocery store just a “prototype”

The Office of Organizational Communications of Big C Group clarified today (March 28) that the “Mini Big C” mobile grocery store which was seen roaming housing estates and communities in Bangkok and its vicinity was just a trial operation and there is just one prototype vehicle.

Court dismisses fraud case over bogus GT200 bomb detectors

DON MUANG Municipal Court yesterday dismissed charges in a fraud trial filed by the Armed Forces Security Centre against Jackson Electronics (Thailand), which supplied eight faulty bomb-detecting devices known as GT200, worth Bt10.4 million, to the centre in 2007.
