Police in Chiang Mai have arrested a 31 year old bus station employee after he pointed an air rifle at a heavily pregnant woman in a car who was turning at a busy downtown intersection.

The incident was filmed on a dash cam that will play an important part in the case.

Nabbed yesterday was Thanarat Jueythaisong who works at Chiang Mai 1 bus station. He has been charged with threatening and menacing behavior scaring others.

On Monday evening a heavily pregnant woman had gone to the police to report the incident that happened mid-afternoon. She said that as she passed the university heading for the Khuang Singh intersection a man in a following Toyota Vios was tailgating her and repeatedly sounding his horn.

Cars were blocking ahead so she couldn't go any faster.

As she prepared to turn right at the intersection he passed her on the left and opened his window and pointed a gun at her.

Thanarat made a lot of excuses and apologies.

He said he was carrying the takings from the bus station to the bank and was irritable that he would be too late. He wanted to turn right at the intersection too but was blocked off and had to go straight on.

So he pulled out the gun to scare the driver. He didn't think it would end up in a charge. He said he didn't know it was a woman and didn't know she was pregnant.

He said he was awfully sorry and wouldn't do it again.

You'll have to do better than that you <deleted> retarded bully!

And he felt sooo important with the takings from the busstation that he even pointed his gun at a pregnant woman...Do you know how much money i have on me?

Should be locked up for a year or two but it won't happen as he was 'irritable', so it will be excused in a land where anyone can do anything wrong and rarely be punished if they make up some cock and bull story.

Is there such a charge by law?

Apparently not!

It must be a bus industry trait.

After all, bus drivers all over Thailand daily are threatening and their menacing behaviour scares others .........their passengers!

Yep, another 500 Baht and Wai case closed

His employer  must have a  very high standard of employment.

Disgusting bully. Bus company is just as responsible for not supervising its employees.
