I have seen may time a retirement visa is not a retirement visa, but something else, permission to stay for example. But in my passport it is stamped "retirement"!

If you have an extension of stay based on retirement it says so in your passport NOT retirement-VISA,,,, If you have a VISA collected from another country than Thailand, than you have a VISA and what it says in your passport I dont know....

as is mine  Stamped at the top, BUT
look a little bit down;

You will see the words;

 XXX immigration

Extension of stay permitted up to    xxxxxx

Holder must leave the kingdom within the

date specified herein, offenders will be

prosecuted.

NOT a visa   an extension...

nowhere on the page does it say Visa

Yes, 100% correct

We are both non thais

So she has no permission to stay in Thai either without the job etc

I guess if she wants to cancel mine she will not be able to just by sending an email

even though she used to threaten to do that lol

Hey, just be grateful that you are now a Free Man again, she sounds like a real piece of work, is she British by any chance.   :cheesy:

The "retirement" stamp indicates the reason for issuing an extension of stay.
