These guys are professionals and are playing the long game with their cards close to their chests. They also know that they have a subject who has the largest microphone in the world and they don't want to get into fighting the case in the court of public opinion or show their hand. On top of that, their subject continues to shoot his mouth off and provide more evidence for their case as he squirms nervously while the investigation gets closer and closer and more people turn. This is going just the way they want it. 

When they are ready, it's going to go down hard and there will be a lot of people in jail. Trump is either complicit or a dupe. Given his track record in terms of business, ethics and telling the truth, I'm betting he's involved.

Mueller only had a small part in this.  Federal prosecutors in New York are investigating Cohen's business dealings.  He was laundering Russian money into real estate investments.  He owns assets way beyond what he would have earned as an attorney.  It's no surprise that Trump saying the money to pay Daniels came from Cohen led to the warrant, because Cohen was spreading around Russian money like a drunken sailor.  Trump better hope that there's nothing connecting him to Cohen's money, otherwise Mueller just proved his case against Trump.

I have read what thing's "could mean", what is "possibly happening", what he "may be" doing. I have also read what concrete actions he has taken. I do not ignore it nor am I against his investigation. Let him do what he needs to do, go where he needs to go. That said, though he was given wide latitude to investigate Russia's meddling in US elections and anything else stemming from his investigation of that central mandate we're now getting the most news on porn stars. It's looking a little Burlesconiesque, a prurient sideshow. I think in the vaguest of terms, if he wishes, he should give an update on his investigation.

 

BTW, I have never used the term "fake news", but I will say since you seem interested, that I find most news from most sources to be full of half truths or omissions meant to bring satisfaction to their target audience.

I don't know what he may have done but I'm confident Mueller will find it, if it exists.  If they do find something I hope it is something more than his clumsy attempts at obstruction, which to my mind is just Trump being Trump, though most likely unlawful.

Further on that, the term “fake news” (like “political correctness”) has been transformed through misuse into a meaningless buzzword. Fake news refers to stories that are entirely fabricated and posted on websites in places like Macedonia and Bulgaria for the sole purpose of selling advertising on the websites; the creators have no political convictions or agendas one way or the other. Biased reporting, propaganda, composite or contrived sources, deliberate omissions, etc., are entirely different things. And I do believe that most reporters (though certainly not all) are indeed trying to do their jobs and making an honest effort to maintain journalistic integrity.

The reason why Tiny Don is acting even more adolescent than usual, over this, is that there is something to hide. Alot to hide. Like evidence that either he or the campaign paid the hush money. There is a zero percent chance that Cohen paid this without reimbursement. Trump is used to being able to commit crimes daily, and tell incredibly lies, while avoiding scrutiny. Now, he is under the microscope. And the germs are festering!

 

He got busy with Stormy, and the playmate, and many of Epstein's underage girls too. In addition there is little doubt King Vlad has tape of him with underage escorts that he arranged, in order to get him to heed his beck and call, and he has become a lap dog for Putin. 

 

Little Don has alot to hide. And he is running scared. You can see it in his eyes. The man is a terrible poker player. Get used to saying President Pence.

The search warrant was requested by a U.S. attorney appointed by Trump. The Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, and head of the FBI are all Republicans, appointed by Trump. Mueller, a republican, was appointed by a Trump appointee.

Spidermike said it all/  Trump has a whole life  of cheating' lying' doing things illegal and getting others to cover for him by paying them off. He went into the Presidency thinking he could do the same thing. He has managed to piss off the FBI; CIA; the US Military; the Justice Department not to mention most of the Foreign community. These people don't answer to Trump (except the military)- they answer directly to the American people and they are going to do their job.

 

Even Trump with all his billions and connections can't buy his way out of this one. My only fear is that he may start a war in an attempt to buy time and cover and he has the perfect foil to do it in John Bolton.

 

I keep thinking it can't get any worse- but it does and it will.

That would be most curious - a Republican-controlled Congress impeaching two Trump nominees appointed by a Republican-controlled Congress. Might as well throw in Trump nominated and Republican-controlled Congress appointed AG Sessions who oversees the Judiciary.

But I would support a "clean sweep" if Trump is included in the impeachment.

I don't think that's it. I think some people have seen so many illegalities get a pass from law enforcement agencies and the press they come to think of it as unfair when they actually start to do their jobs. 

 

Remember that Bill Clinton/Loretta Lynch meeting on the tarmac in a private jet? Then the next day the Clinton investigation blows over. Everybody knows something illegal went down and of course if this president had done anything like that the media would have been merciless. Credulous people, not yourself of course, saw it for what it was. 

 

Go after all the wrongdoers, without partiality, prejudice or favor and it will go a long way to healing what divides America at the present time.
