Really though I would have thought GBH with Intent would get a straight up custodial - it certainly did 20 years ago unless there were extremely mitigating circumstances

You would definitely be facing a custodial sentence if you were convicted of this in the UK. In fact most GBH with intents would be facing a custodial.

I think the majority of those are economic migrants who've mown down some innocent child whilst driving uninsured and without a license. They're filling up the jails serving the 4 months or whatever they got

So has the guy been lifted by the bIb or not?? we get lots of news here on crime but rarely on the punishments.
