PHUKET: An all-day power blackout will affect the area around the Chalong Underpass as workers move high-voltage power cables along Chao Fa West Rd north of Chalong Circle on Sunday (May 13).

Somkiet Yimpong, Project Manager at the Phuket office of the Highways Department, confirmed this morning (May 11) that power outage will be in effect from 5am to 6:30pm.

The need to move the power lines may require also require workers to close traffic lanes past the work site so that workers can continue to move the power cables safely, he warned.

I did not loose electric. But cable TV off until 19.00 yesterday and 3BB only back today 5 minutes ago.

Today is only the 12th. The power is supposed to be out tomorrow. I have a dentist appointment in Chalong in the afternoon, I wonder how that will work out. The dentist is Cha Fa East, so maybe they won't lose power?

Did you not see it was for May 13, not May 11? And from the article:

“We might not need to close traffic lanes, but we will if we need to for safety,” he said.
