Border Patrol Police this week arrested 24 year old Saranya ‘Palm’ Arjmongkon at a condominium in Phuket Town. Police seized 29.51 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ya ice) and 355 methamphetamine pills (ya bah). She was charged with possession with Category 1 drug with intent to sell.

The arrest follows police receiving a tip-off that Saranya was selling drugs on the street. On Wednesday (May 9) at 7:30pm police were informed that Saranya was awaiting customers at a parking area of the condominium. Police found ya ice and ya bah with her.

One down,so many more to go.

regards Worgeordie

Yes one down and another one popped up and got all her customers.probably the police informer who ordered the drugs and to meet her in the car park.its a dog eat dog world out there when it involves drugs and money.

Perhaps not much can be done against the locals or those already in Thailand, they could start using flawless and fully reliable instant drug screening tests (heroin, cocaine, meth extasy etc.)  on all those entering the country....reprimand locally if it's a native/resident and deport those who read "positive" and that's it !

Why not also start compulsory and random drug screening on all the Thai Police Officers, Bus and Van drivers, lawyers ?

Obviously, it will require huge manpower, technology and infrastructure to avoid delays at immigration, but if there is a genuine motivation to fight drugs, this could be a good start....(of course I'm going to get shot here for suggesting such ... )
