Death by alcohol. How does Thailand rate?

At the top of the list is a cache of South American and eastern European countries.

Amongst all the things that might kill you, alcohol remains near the top of the list in many countries. Excess consumption of alcohol can lead to all manner of long-term disease as well as domestic disruption and then, out on the roads driving with other people, deaths related to drink driving.

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea has accepted a list of South Korean reporters to visit their nuclear testing site after a days-long tug of war with Seoul, South Korea's unification ministry said on Wednesday.

100 billion baht approved for use in Thai Niyom Yang Yuen scheme

BANGKOK, (Reuters) - Thailand will use a state oil fund to support domestic retail fuel prices to help consumers cope with rising global oil prices, the energy minister said on Tuesday.

Boats banned from passing under Phuket bridges as water mains installed

PHUKET: All boats have been banned from passing under the bridges joining Phuket to the mainland while workers install a water mains pipe from Phang Nga to the small community of Baan Tha Chatchai on the shores of the northernmost tip of the island.

Diesel cost to be limited to no more than 30 baht per liter

BANGKOK, 23rd May 2018 (NNT) – The Ministry of Energy has decided to limit the price of diesel fuel to no more than 30 baht per liter while revealing Biodiesel B20 will be introduced at 3 baht less than normal diesel in July.

Phuket officials urged to push ahead with ‘Smart Beach’ project

Pracha Asawateera, manager of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) Southern Branch says, “Phuket is now in the process of upgrading beach safety by using technology called the ‘Smart Beach’ project. CCTV cameras will be used as part of the safety efforts. More people are enjoying Phuket’s beaches but we don’t have enough lifeguards to look after them all the time.”

Suphan Buri teens killed in ‘daredevil’ road race

Two motorcyclists, ages 15 and 16, were killed “daredevil racing” in Suphan Buri just after midnight on Wednesday. Police were called to the scene on Ban Thai Nam-Saphan Bueng Chawak Road in Moo 8, Doem Bang Nang Buat district, at 12.30am.
