PAHOA, Hawaii (Reuters) - A tide of molten rock turned a Hawaii street into a volcanic wasteland on Friday as the number of homes destroyed by the erupting Kilauea volcano soared and authorities told residents to flee a surge of lava heading towards them.

Ex-monk Isara ‘confesses to use of royal initials’

AN EX-MONK, widely known as Phra Buddha Isara, has confessed to using the initials of the late HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej and HM Queen Sirikit for making amulets, without permission, but insists that he had no malicious intent.

(Reuters) - Subtropical storm Alberto is moving slowly and erratically over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and is expected to strengthen gradually over the next 48 hours as it heads to the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in its latest advisory on Friday.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A soccer fan blacklisted by Russian authorities for bad behaviour was granted a document allowing him to attend World Cup matches, while several other fans have skirted a stadium ban, Reuters has found.

GPS app leads heavily loaded pickup to flip on uphill road in Loei

PARIS (Reuters) - Former European soccer chief Michel Platini has said he has been cleared by Swiss authorities of any criminal wrongdoing over payments he received from FIFA that resulted in a ban for ethics violations and that he now plans to return to the game.
