CHONBURI, 26th May 2018 (NNT) – On Friday evening, TAT, together with Chonburi Province and Pattaya City, opened the Thailand Cultural Music Festival at Bali Hai pier.

15 Thai artists of international fame were performing. They brought a fusion of the local musical culture and contemporary Western music, jazz, rock and soul, including soul music with an Isan flavor, which is now well-known in AEC and much of the world.

Ms. Sujitra, Jongchansitto, Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, announced that the TAT together with Pattaya City is holding the Thailand Cultural Music Festival for the first time. This grand Thai musical phenomenon, brings together Thai artists of international fame. Thai folk music and contemporary music are performed together in perfect harmony.

The event is designed to encourage tourism and present a Thai experience through the performances of legendary top jazz bands of Thailand. This will induce a circular flow of income into the local area as well as create an image of contemporary Thai tourism for the new generation and foreign tourists.

It is expected that no fewer than 10 thousand people will join the festival and the money in circulation will top 300 million baht.
