I know you need 3 years worth of tax records as well as a host of other things however do you need receipts for social fund contributions?

I have done tax religiously however never bothered with the social fund, can anyone advise on this?

I assume you mean Thai social security contributions. I am certain you have been making them since they are mandatory.

I don't recall proof of the contributions being a requirement for the PR application.

How could you get 3 consecutive 1 year extensions of stay without paying social fund and providing the proof to immigration?

No Thai staff on the company, extension based on Thai child using png91 and png1 (only me on the png1) never had issue at CM immigration, never done social fund contributions for myself. I understand I would not get extension for business based on the above.

Yes Thai social security contributions for myself, I have definitely never done these and its coming to light now that I may need them however was wondering if they were a requirement for PR application? If so would they be needed for 3 years?

Another point, I own 40% of the company aswell, so maybe that makes a difference?

Are you also a director of the company.  Directors don't have to pay social security.

No, Im not a director but could become one if needed, may main concern is when it comes to applying for PR and I don't have social fund contributions so if I become a director this could bypass that?

If I became a director would they look at why social fund contributions were not made when I was not a director?

How were you granted a work permit renewal? You have to show social fund contributions at least for yourself.

I'm a bit puzzled.

I don't know, I use an agent in CM. Got the WP initially, extended for 1 year then extended for 2 years very easily.

You need to make sure that the company has a legitimate purpose and not just set up as a vehicle for you to get PR. Immigration in the past have been onto this ‘trick’, but if that is not you then no worries then.

Thanks, company has contracts with 3 companies based in Europe so has turnover, made profit etc, definitely genuine in that sense.

I think you need to talk to the PR desk at Chaeng Wattana and also the Social Fund office.

If Social Fund receipts are required you need to establish with the Social Fund office whether you can pay everything you owe plus the penalty to clear the outstanding balance.

Then check if this is acceptable to the PR desk.

Thanks, yes that makes the most sense.

What a minute, are they taking applications for PR already?

No

I think the OP is just preparing to apply near the end of the year after they announce the dates.

Thanks Joe, any idea what platform they will use to make the announcement?

By a announcement on the immigration bureau website. https://www.immigration.go.th/index

Last year it was not announced until December and there was only about a 15 day window to do the application.

No.

I have my workpermit for 15+ years, based on marriage to a Thai. I am working in her business, and as such can not contribute to social security, even though I'd like that very much.

Is her business a limited company?
