getting a hernia repaired in BKK

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a recommendation and price on getting a simple hernia repaired in BKK . I have lived here a couple of years and am not sure to use insurance or just pay out of pocket , if it is cheap enough and reliable.,,,Thanks

Depends on whether a government hospital or a private one, and on whether open approach or laparoscopic.

Govt hospital (in Bkk, which is more than in provinces - and refers to public channel not private one which some govt hospitals offer, thsoe will be closer to thel ower end of private rates)

about 30-40K open

about 80-100K laparscopic

Private hospital:

100-150K open

200-300K laparacoscopic

All the above assume no complications

If you have insurance you should use it
