Member of a Scottish "boy band" who were huge in the 1970's ... like David Cassidy. Ironically they were ripped off by their management and made very little money from it all. He played bass guitar.

It'd be much quicker to name acts that weren't ripped-off by their management in that era!?

Happy memories of being a kid in the 70s, the Bay City Rollers were fantastic, pop band, all the girls and some of the lads in tartan trimmed flared jeans and jackets - Bye Bye Baby, baby goodbye.....

Alan came across as the mature older one, his brother just seemed to smile all the time and the other three lapped it all up, for a short while in the UK 70s they was the top performers, even had their own TV show - The Bay City Rollers Show

RIP
