Female US military rescuer says there are many challenges ahead in cave rescue

Manager quoted a Reuters report after they interviewed a female member of the US military team helping to rescue 12 football playing youngsters and their coach from the Chiang Rai cave.

 

The boys and their coach were all found alive on Monday night after spending 10 days in the Tham Luang cave.

 

Jessica Tate said that the rescue operation had many challenges and there were still many to come.

 

"We still have work to do," said Jessica.

 

She praised the rescue effort and the spirit of cooperation between international and Thai agencies in finding the missing Mu Pa team.

To avoid the inevitable clamour on TVF for that soldier to get a haircut?

 

Whilst female soldiers are commonly found in the west (LJs - lumpy jumpers as they were known) they are I suspect very much more of a novelty here.

If you consider viewing and accepting people as humans rather than lumping them by gender, race, sexual persuasion etc as PC nonsense then the problem is yours.

There are men and women on the world, and many variations on both.

Why is it even  to have an identity? we could all just be chipped and have barcodes or numbers, come on - we are human, am I the only one that is surprised that there is a female on the team, or are we are not allowed to have free thoughts anymore! ?

If you ask some cretain liberals or george soros especially in England now, they will definitely complain 5556 What if she is a third gender....

Be happy someone has found them in relative good condition.

What about the lady boys are we still allowed to call them that or is that out as well. Do we just refer to everyone as it?

I dont mine being refered to as male

What a rubbish post, you sound like a certain attention seeking policeman from earlier in the week.

 

You may have meant it as a joking post, but to me it wasn't.

 

She and all the other teams were there because they were unvited by the Thai government to work as a team with the Thais to rescue the trapped children.

No it's actually from the Thai girls twitter feed. And yes this is what I do all day, I even get paid for it.

The headline is weird but on the other hand this lady has been on the media a lot here recently and when they say female U.S.military rescuer I think that identifies her well to the Thai public better than her name. No biggie!

She's a public affairs officer, she's not a 'U.S. military rescuer'.
