I think a bit of humour around now is a good thing. But definitely not intended to make light of the ongoing efforts...

 

It’s marvelous really how there’s been such international support. The Brits won the day of course, quietly, efficiently, humbly and with great dignity, but hats off to all the other nations that sent in teams to help.

Special mention should go to the Americans who sent in 17 Navy SEALS and no lesser rank than a Rear Admiral to lead the charge. What happened to them? They were cheered by US expat supporters on ThaiVisa who fully expected them to take control and manage the entire show, but their role was to fill the oxygen tanks as they had brought special equipment to turn the knobs that had got stuck and nobody else could twist them. The admiral was introduced to the Thai powers as the chief and they asked him if he could cook something up for the Thai SEALS too. Great team effort I say. Couldn’t have done it without you!

The Irish got wind of the potential disaster a little late in the game but on reading that a football team and coach were likely stranded on Pattaya Beach they studied all the maps carefully and determined that they had the skills to get there with ease. Obviously, it seems apparent to me that with the lack of attendance that the Thai PM and members of the Royal court have displayed, the interest in this matter is very casual indeed. It was a good photo-op for all the big-wigs but alas who can understand these people. Why try????
