Door stable bolted horse?

But certainly add a ticket booth for tourists.

In the 60"s and 70"s on numerous occasions people got in trouble like this in the UK - East Midlands, Wales, South West. They were called "Pot holers" then which doesn't sound so clever as cave diving. Nevertheless it was several years before the authorities reacted and steps were taken to improve safety.

Hindsight - the commodity that's worth tuppence a ton!

Could be that the Forestry Department was working harder during the 3 Shin governments which accounts for no similar cave crisis. They slacked during this junta government. More management incompetency of the ministry. Very possible.

The fact you believe what you've written to be "very possible" says it all.

Sad,

Sad,

Much more revealing is your belief that the junta management is competent. Blind devotion or denial BB?

Rather than ruin the natural beauty of these caves by putting up large iron gates and concrete constructions out front (what kid has never found a way to climb over a gate?), why not appoint a guard to cover the entrance during the rainy season? This would be a government position and the perfect deployment to an inactive post for someone involved in corruption.

There will be a long queue of cops suitable for that job.:cheesy:

First and foremost, they pick up all the garbage, supplies and materials left behind. try to restore and return to pristine nature. The gov should close it indefinitely. At some later date, the decide what plan of action moving forward incl an EIR...

Unfortunately, officials and money hungry people will put immense pressure on the gov to turn it into an amusement park and destroy the caves/nature.....

A real shame....

yes world "in"famous for all the wrong reason

next they'll be selling tickets

shame on them trying turn this very dangerous place where people risked their lives to turn this into a happy ending - shame on them

block it up for good

I couldn't agree with you more. That place could have easily become a tomb. No more gambling with the lives of these rescuers laying their own lives on the line to bail out the thrillseekers. Let them jump from planes with dodgy parachutes instead for their kicks...
