A helicopter is preparing to airlift another survivor of Tham Luang stranding, who had been stranded inside the flooded cave since June 23, to a hospital yesterday.

 

Rescuers lead final four boys and their coach to freedom

 

“MISSION IMPOSSIBLE” was the term used to describe the complicated rescue operation at the flooded Tham Luang Cave. It culminated last night with the successful rescue of the last four of the 12 trapped boys and their football coach.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's prime minister said on Tuesday extra precautions would have be implemented to safeguard tourists who want to visit a cave where 12 boys and their soccer coach were trapped for more than two weeks.

A US film crew has already arrived in Chiang Rai, and two American producers are plotting a movie project about the 12 young Mu Pa Academy footballers and their assistant coach who were trapped in the cave for more than two weeks, according to an Australian news website.

THE EIGHT members of the Mu Pa (Wild Boars) Academy football club rescued on Sunday and Monday from the Tham Luang cave were in good health mentally and physically, although all had high white blood cell counts and two showed signs of pneumonia.

The international divers and Thai Navy SEAL frogmen who were involved in the high-risk operation to bring all the 13 survivors out of Tham Luang cave were given a resounding applause and cheers by hundreds of officials and volunteers after they emerged from the cave at about 7.10 pm.

Exports in first 5 months increase by 11.5%

BANGKOK, 11th July 2018 (NNT) - The Thai export sector expanded by 11.55% in the first five months of 2018, higher than the target of 8% for the whole year, following the global economic recovery. The outstanding growth has made the Department of International Trade Promotion re-assess this year’s export situation.
