webfact
Kindergarten teacher fights back - goes to cops over sexual harassment by director Picture: Daily News A kindergarten teacher who lost her job at a Minburi school has gone to the police to claim sexual harassment at the hands of the owner and director. Named only as "Phat" 40 she said she worked at the school from 2013 but things took a turn for the worse when the owner also became director. She came up with a list of complaints from the period of 2015 to 2017. She said she was sent sex videos through Line and then suggestions were made that she engage in sex. She said she was touched up at work at every opportunity. Other teachers were subjected to similar treatment but no one dared speak up for fear of losing their job. The school or those involved were not named as is customary in Thailand. The Crime Suppression Division is investigating the claims that also include other allegations about wrongful work practices. I've never been anywhere that is more worried about the perpetrators, rather than worried about the subject of bad behavior. Sheer lunacy.

Ah, so sexually harrassing women isn't okay because it's the culture? Good to see women like this speaking up and it's another reminder that there are universal rights and wrongs. People are people.
