Van driver at beer high tide visits Chon Buri sea at low tide

Police in Chon Buri say a van driver admitted he drank “four or five” bottles of beer before passing out at the wheel and ending up in seaside mudflats.

It was low tide at that hour Tuesday morning. Otherwise he would have been treading saltwater.

Nikorn Noompinpuk, 49, was looking for a place to pull over and nap but dozed off while still in motion, crashed through a guardrail in Tambon Bang Sai and woke up in a cosy bed of mud.

Muang Chon Buri police got the call at 5am and found Nikorn caked in mud but free of the van and unharmed.

Once he was hosed down, they took him in to be booked.

There is nothing worse than amateur beer drinkers. “Four or five” bottles of beer wouldn't even make a halfway decent bavarian breakfast, or qualify as motivation enhancer for an average Irishman to walk from the bar to the mens room.

And a jackass like this will likely be charged for reckless driving... He probably will get a fine for parking in a restricted area. Instead of having the book thrown at him he gets a wide grin and a laugh. Had he killed someone chances he would have got a medal. Had he killed a falang the falang's family would have had to foot the hospital bill and he would have been elevated to national hero status.

Fracking frack... ruined my morning reading this.

Rubbish.
