Ten Russian tourists, four Chinese and four Thais were dragged from the surf off Nai Harn beach after getting into difficulty in waves yesterday (July 25).

 

Nai Harn lifeguards rescued 18 swimmers in total yesterday afternoon.

 

Pictures and videos have been put on Nai Harn Lifeguard facebook page yesterday with a message read

Aparantley now in knee deep water , getting pushed by a wave towards shore is considered cause for alarm...

Also here: some areas 'do not swim', others 'swim between the flags'.

 

Swimming in riptides at no swimming areas is not a good idea.

Yup, that looks super confusing !!!

 

I think anything, with a line through it, means probably not a good idea to do that "thing" ?

Most countries have swim between the flags but non of those flags are red with a circle and slash through a swimmer with the words "No swimming here" in 4 different languages. It's not at all confusing, just dumb people with the brains of a dead kangaroo.

I lost count a long while ago of the amount of times I've seen stupid people warned 2 or 3 times by the LGs to move to a safer area.
