A search is continuing for an Indian man who has been missing in the seas off Karon Beach since yesterday (July 25).

Karon Police were notified at 5pm yesterday that a tourist was missing. Another Indian man had already been taken to hospital after being pulled from the sea.

Karon Municipality is reporting that yesterday, lifeguards rescued one Indian tourist from the strong surf but another Indian tourist remains missing, Both ignored red flags along the shoreline in the area they were swimming.

Did they ever catch that crocodile?

Do you mean that fat crocodile? ???

It's not difficult to see how non-swimmers could get in trouble at Karon at the moment.

People say there is no surf in Thailand!

Good picture that.you can see that the waves breaking in the foreground and the 2nd wave breaking in the middle of the pic there is probably a under current or rip tide going out.just the sort of spot some idiot picks to go in as it's not got big crashing waves.

There's a couple of semi permanent rips there and the tourists flock into them thinking they are calmer.
