WATCH: Horrific moment crocodile mauls arm of keeper in northern Thailand

Horrific footage posted to Facebook shows the moment a crocodile mauled the arm of its keeper at a show in Thailand.

 

The shocking incident is believed to have taken place in Chiang Rai province on Sunday.

 

In the video, the keeper kneels in front of the crocodile before teasing it with a stick and then placing his arm inside the croc’s open mouth.

 

The crocodile sits perfectly still while the trainer attempts to perform some kind of routine for the watching crowd.

 

But within a split second the crocodile suddenly snaps its mouth shut, ferociously chomping down on the trainer’s arm.

 

The audience winches in shock before the keeper manages to free his arm, which appears to suffer extensive injuries.

 

The keeper’s current condition is not known.
