To me, that is very strong evidence that she doesn't give a damn about you, no matter what she says.  Given that this happened only after you built her a house, and given the many many stories of exactly the same sort of thing happening to foreign men, I'd suggest that you were simply used.  That she did it once is to my mind a strong indication that she'll do it again given the chance.  If it were me, I'd write it off and get out of the situation ASAP

My Thai GF understands that if we get married, it will be to make her "next of kin" and protect her from "Thai probate" should I die suddenly. I have made it clear that I won't be buying a  house or building one or buying cars. She has no problem with this. I am simply not going to play games at my age. I am 68, she is 46. Anxiously awaiting the flames from the advisory board of TVF. I will rent until I die. She will appear in my will as "next of kin" and can take whatever scraps remain. She has already been through one death scene where the police locked down her boyfriend's apartment and she could not even recover her personal effects. Americans bitch about the probate laws in the USA, but Thailand is far worse in that respect. if you care about her.....take care of her.

If you do decide to abandon this woman, as I feel you should, and if you haven't done so already, here's my advice. if you plan on a clean getaway with some of your possessions, be very careful and plan to Ieave when she's not around, if possible. If you have a vehicle in your name you are OK, never mind the TV or furniture, take your most valued possessions and get out of the village. If she suspects you are leaving she will bring on hell for you, and the village will be there for her.

Get away back to a place where you maybe still have some farang friends who will try and help you get over this. 

Hell hath no fury like a Thai woman scorned, to coin a well used phrase. She will reap what she has sown.

OP is not married. That's the crucial point.
If OP can prove that HE paid for the house, legally the house belongs to the OP, 100%.
If necessary, the house can be sold by court-order. The court proceedings are not overly complicated, but it will still take 2 to 3 years.
Ahhhhh......if only those houses were on wheels!

I wouldn't have a problem to post a photo with my wife and me. You seem to assume that all Thai/Farang relationships consist of a 77-year-old  guy who's trying to keep a 21-year-old happy. 

 

I think that you've read too many broken hearts stories of people who came here as virgins, people who never had a functioning relationship in their life, but they believe that Thai women are so different? The guys you're talking about couldn't get an ordinary woman back home, so why would it be any different here? How can a young woman have fun sleeping with a guy who could be her granddad?

Thai women aren't different, they're just cheaper.

Ordinary was never a problem, young and small was an order of magnitude harder.
