Featured Replies

Hi

I have a gold ring that is too small  and i would like a goldsmith to resize it for me . I have visited some gold shops in Pattaya Thai and they where unable to do the work . Anyone recommend a  suitable Goldsmith in the Pattaya area

Where did you bought the ring? if it's not Thai gold  24k gold used in western jewelry Thai gold shops won't touch it

Thai gold jewelry (obviously gold is gold and it doesn't matter where it's from) is 96.5% gold, or 23K. 24K gold is rarely used for jewelry. Most "western jewelry" is 12K or 18K. You can buy that here too, so there are jewelers that will work with it. I've had an 18K ring resized before in Pattaya. You have to go to a jewelry store, not the Thai gold shops. There are some along Beach Road, close to the entrance of Walking Street.

Have never seen 12k gold. perhaps you meant 14k.

Usuallly 9k or 18k, but there are variations. Though never 12k.
