As the statement has come from these  two obviously fine upstanding gentlemen then I am completely reassured.

Let’s get this straight...

The former mayor and owner of the Patong TukTuk association, arrested and awaiting trial for corruption, after finding hoards of cash in their house, slips in the bathroom and dies, so all corruption investigations are discontinued.

His son, quoted in the article, Former head of the TukTuk organization, or mafia, as its known, one of the biggest landowners in Patong, who owns nightclubs, bars and TukTuks in Patong, as well as other businesses (Graceland hotel, Keenin building supples???) has stated that Patong has no mafia.

I believe him!

Whose company is behind the alternate water lines now buried underground and servicing many Patong businesses and condos, bypassing the municipal water supply. They call this the Mafia water.

But, of course... there is no mafia?

Don't forget Pisona company, Paradise Beach and all hotels & resorts whose names begin with "Patong Bay ______"

The statement was made after asking the mafia if they still exist and they said they don’t. They said there is no such things as mafia

Of course not.  They're all legitimate businessmen now.  :whistling:

And they will disappear anyone who says there is.

...or shot dead execution style, as it has done before by this gentleman. Actually the murder case was dismissed by the local court. How could he do that, with no Mafia around?

Why do you have they keep looking behind them?

The restaurant is part of Patong Bay Garden Resort, owned by the Keesin family (Prab).

And that building codes are adhered to, electrical powerlines and equipment are regularly serviced and are safe and that drainage/sewer systems are world class...………….and so on!

You couldn't make this stuff up, but they think people are stupid enough to believe it...……….even the cops face looks like he is having second thoughts!

you are both correct...and the list goes on...and they actually do think people believe it...well, maybe some do....they are nothing but a bunch of lying imbeciles...jerk offs!

Did you feel embarrassed when submitting this article?

With neighboring tourist destinations, like Danang in Vietnam, building one of the biggest and best cable cars in world, and the Chinese building casinos in Sihanoukville in Cambodia, to turn it into the Las Vegas of South East Asia for Chinese gamblers, the best these guys can do is make a press release saying they is no mafia here.

Well done guys.

You couldn't hold back Phuket more if you tried.

These guys keep Phuket stuck in its old corrupt and colluding ways, and have presided over a massive western tourist market decline here.

Phuket can no longer compete with other holiday destinations in the region due to the past, and continuing damage, these guys have done to the tourism industry here.

But Phuket has the second best beaches in the world.

It's a City of Gastronomy.

It will have the world's largest Ferris wheel.

It has more latex shops per square metre than anywhere else in the world.

It holds the record for the longest time to build an underpass on a per metre basis.

It will have a wonderful light railway system, taking tourists to all the top sites on the island.

And the Kathu Underpass will solve all traffic issues meaning it will have the best traffic flow of any holiday island in Asia.

What more could you want?

I tend to agree with the headline.
It is common knowledge that that organisation originates in Sicily, Italy.

Only in the movies mate. A made up story based, I think, on Popeye's girlfriend or something like that.
