Featured Replies

Hi,

i have my plane at 6.00 am to hong kong.

Do you know if the immigration office in the airport is opened 24H ?

thanks

david

Yes, I have done this Air Asia flight to HK many times.

But, do not go to the airport at some ungodly hour, you'll waste your time, even the check in staff won't show up until about 4.45am.

You then go upstairs and wait until immigration open the security lines at about 5.30am, but you can get your re-entry permit done there.

Don't worry about being first through security, very few people use this service at the airport on this particular flight, which is mainly Chinese tourists going home.

You'll STILL be sitting in the lounge for ten minutes before boarding, it's a breeze.

You'll pass through departures security first, the office is immediately on your left, the process takes ten minutes for your stamp, then you go through passport control.

Don't forget your photograph, fee, and photocopy of your passport data page.

Also, there are NO food outlets open until you get past immigration, and there's nothing there either other than rip off duty free, and bottled water.

Bon Voyage!
