Prayut threatens to sue media

Featured Replies

Don't sue, just publish the newspeak manual and let the Ministry of Truth handle it.

Best have a read up on the meaning of the word then ..

  • Because he’s not steering the country anywhere near anything even closely resembling ‘democracy’. Learn how to comprehend sentiment and stop being obtuse.

Rea we sure his middle name is not Trump ?

So sure media has to a proof of  what they are publishing. But let the media find all the rotten "apples" without a concern about who they are, their position or their family names and support the media. I was working 35 years for a TV broadcaster in a democratic country and what you find here in Thailand is far from a free press. Most so called influential people try to step on the press and find nearly any new rules, regulations and laws that been set up to make them "speechless".

So sorry Mr. PRAYUT, YOU FIRST HAVE TO LEARN WHAT IS ALL ABOUT DEMOCRACY. Up to now you and your followers seem to have no idea about it! But we'll if there is a willing to learn there is always a chance.

“Just like when [the media] is sued by people over defamation, state agencies also need to protect their dignity. Dignity? I thought that true Buddhism was against self pride.

Basically, he can anything he wants at any given moment.

So there !

Yes but not the tax payer as few pay taxes here. They'll simply insert themselves in every crevice to get a cut of the corruption. So expect brown letters galore once they get up and running. Which for farangs might not be that bad, if you cough up a few $$$, who knows, maybe you an shoot a buffalo with a bazooka in the middle of walking street just like the oh so successful neighbours, also "reformed" by military "governments".

He's trying to steer the country towards full democracy - Thai style - ie. with the rules such that the outcome is to his liking . . . Hun Sen style.

There are good media and I have to thank them

Media that never questions. In Thailand, that is 'good media'

half right…. usual the business guy has some idea of economy and how to run the business or get things on track for the business he represents ..
Obviously NOT Trumpy, though.

How are everyday Thai suppressed and controlled?

Sometimes it is better to listen to the people than to keep talking. Arrogance is not a good trait for the leader of a country.

always bite the hardest when it true lol

bit like the handbags, watches and unspoken wealth .

Just another corrupt tosser trying look squeaky clean ...

Not all media belongs to the establishment/mainstream class....

Kind of ironic really, he threatens to sue the media yet he can't be touched with his cowardly blanket amnesty to safeguard himself for any <deleted> he makes!

The true revolution awaits.

See! There are similarities between Thailand and the US.

This guy would get along well with Trump.

Remember how the former President of the United States, Barrack Obama, would snub this diminutive worm, Prayut?

Equality between people, due to believe in freedom. OK so it means there is no democracy anywhere.

There is just the system "me, me , me and my money", short MMMMMM

Sure. This is only understood by a very few.

What has been practiced, and continues to be so, historically might be a form of controlled nexus of corporate/government......also know as Corporatism or Fascism.
