Some work for major companies (Facebook), my wife's best friend is European Educated (finished her degree in Thailand and then studied for 5 years overseas). She works for a Danish Major and she is the PA to the C.E.O. Another one of my wife's friends works for a well known Florida University and is flown pretty much all around the world First Class in her field of study. My wife was offered three years ago an internship also in the Netherlands and was going to go. She met me at the time and that changed everything. Some of the guys are also pretty smart. Our next door neighbor is an Engineer working out of Japan and is one of the most interesting guys I have met for a long time. His daughter is now studying in the States. Many Thai ladies (and also just women just in general) have made it and just not in Thailand. All around the world. Whoever you mixed with before in Thailand certainly made you think all Thai women are nothing better than farmhands. No to clarify, not all Thais are like this (as it is the same in my farang circle - many of my Australian friends did not make it) but this is just in my friendship circle and I am just one person. Now, to be fair, being smart is individual thing and Thailand as many have said on this forum (not me) likes to keep it's citizens a little "uninformed". It's really not their fault. But Thai women are smart when they are on their turf. How many old and young men that were successful back home got outsmarted and left penniless by Thai women? Just because I hate hockey and baseball (I think they are stupid sports that idiots watch and parents encouraging kids to watch and practice those sports should be thrown in jail for child abuse) does that make me dumb? I've had several students pass the TOEIC in order to attend English speaking universities in Thailand, and a few admitted to US uni. Right now our school is using a computer Maths tutoring program built by A Thai lady with Masters degrees in Maths and Statistics. from Stanford Uni in the US.
