There's some Mobile Anti Virus downloadable. If you have another comp, use that com puter for downloading!

If you don't know how to do, send me an E-Mail, not an PM and I'll prepare a CD-Image for downloading which you can use for cleaning, if cleaning is possible at all!!

Hi Reimar,

I found some info on here and have disabled protection in the bios quote from site:

Turn OFF the boot sector virus protection in the BIOS

virus info

now it runs fine without prompting at boot. Will this be ok or is there still a virus in the boot sector?

Thanks for your reply :o

Good question and answer: I don't know!

Because if something want to write to the Boot Sector, it can be ok but can be dangerous as well! If is a private comp with "NO" data or Network, I wouldn't mind and check sometime! But if is a business comp, I would check as soon as possible.

Anyway you've my offer!

You still need to have your antivirus do a boot sector scan. What antivirus are you using?

Hi cdnvic

I use Avast and have done a boot scan and virus scan, nothing came up.

Also tried using the online trendmicro housecall scan which just keeps booting me out. Dunno if that is a problem with the trendmico site....

Any recommendations welcomed.

Thanks :D
