webfact
Video: Bike rider doing taxi driver a favor ends up being sworn at Picture: Manager Online A video is doing the rounds of Thai social media that shows a kind motorcyclist close the boot of a taxi that has been left open in traffic. But instead of thanking him for his trouble the driver starts having a go at the motorcyclist. He tells him in no uncertain terms to close it gently and not slam it. "That's what I did" the bemused rider says as the old taxi driver continues to rant. The taxi driver then tells the rider he shouldn't interfere. He uses the word "seuak" in Thai that has strong connotations of unwanted meddling in someone's business. The use of that word can easily provoke anger. The rider is amazed at the lack of gratitude for a simple act of kindness but keeps his cool with some ironic humor and rides off. The video of the incident has been shared 5,200 times after being posted by Supod Mongkonkoon on Facebook. It attracted nearly 300,000 'likes'. I think the PC phrase could well be: Misappropriate customer interaction.
