Man vomiting blood at Don Mueang airport - but staff are indifferent to his plight

A Facebook user posted that arrangements to help passengers in trouble at Don Mueang airport were inadequate after he witnessed a man vomiting blood outside the terminal.

 

"Billy Gong" said that he was travelling early morning with his sibling when there was a shout of "Blood!".

 

A man outside in a white shirt was retching and appeared to be bringing up blood.

 

The poster tried to get staff in the terminal to help but there appeared to be indifference and no one was prepared to take responsibility.

 

The man in trouble said he was on his way to Nakorn Sri Thammarat and didn't want to miss his flight by going to hospital.

 

Cleaners were left to clear up the mess.

 

"Billy Gong" said that in this day and age there should be better procedures in place to help passengers in trouble at an airport.

Thats a lot of blood,if it actually is blood,and not just a big

red bottle of Fanta  red he had drank before arriving at the

airport,if it was blood he should not been allowed to fly,but

i am sure he did !.

If it has nothing to do with them, Thais don't care about anything. They are often too immature to know what to do or how to react, so they remain in their own safe little bubble. Just part of the Me Me Me culture.

The spots look like blood splatter pattern, not thin Fanta liquid. It looks like a large amount because the cleaner has created a large surface area with her mopping.

I can feel a Tourist Police investigation coming on and a determined effort to track down "Billy Gong" and arrest and prosecute him for posting on Facebook a negative story and image of blood in Thailand, one that suggests tourists are not in good, caring hands here.

Meanwhile, in Chiang Mai yesterday (10 September) afternoon (approx. 2.30pm), I had cut myself on the door handle of the nearby toilet. 
The counter for "first aid", combined with "information" was empty; the door into the "first aid" open but not a living soul in it. Waited for 10 minutes until a fellow passenger passing by seeing my blood dripping hand, was kind enough to help me out with a Tensoplast. 

I would not have mentioned a word but here the picture of the deserted counter (and my luggage) - welcome to the "best tourist destination in the world" with "double digit growth".

Looks like an upper GI bleed of a very heavy drinker.  I'm sure he didn't die.  This is more drama than anything else.  Yes, he needs medical attention and hospitalization, but it's not an imminent death type of emergency.

The fact that it's brown tells you it's partially digested and didn't happen all at once, so it's bleeding for a while in his stomach.  That much bright red blood, you'd be thinking esophageal varacies, which could kill you quickly.

To the Facebook user did he take responsibility, did he help the man in anyway. Sorry I am not a trained medical person what am I to do with someone throwing up blood that doesn't want to miss flight. Dumb post and just another go at bashing Thais.

I guess we could stuff a big wade of toilet paper down his throat to stop bleeding, I am just wondering what your reaction wouud have been or for that matter any untrained person farang or Thai.
