UK Visa card charges

Hello All,

 

I have a new visa debit card from the UK, do all banks here in Thailand still charge the 200 THB withdrawal fee?

Yes. Isn't it 220 baht these days, apart from AEON?

 

Better to have a credit card and use that for cash advances over the counter, in order to avoid the greedy ATM fee.

 

Barclaycard Platinum Travel Visa is a good place for you to begin.

 

If your Visa card is not UK fee free, an ATM withdrawal is going to be a relatively expensive business for you. Perhaps as much as 10%.

 

Nationwide Flex One, FlexPlus and Cumberland Plus accounts are the only fee free Visa debit cards of which I know.

So likely, yours is going to cost you.
