The Future Forward Party has been officially registered by the Election Commission just in time for it to announce its vision on Monday.

Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, a co-founder of the party, speaking on a Facebook live session on Friday night, said the EC approved the party's registration application in the final hour of official registration on Friday.

Thanathorn, who is expected to become the party's leader, said the party would announce its vision at a meeting at the party's head office on Monday, under the slogan of "Anakot Mai Thai Song Thai" or "Future Forward To Double Thailand's Future”.

Thanathorn asked party supporters to push the hashtag of the party's slogan on their posts on social networks to show support, now that the party has officially registered.

I've got my order in, but I do wish they'd kept the word 'double' out of the slogan. It sort of cheapens it, in my view, by tagging a number on the subtle process of improving the population's quality of life.

"Future Forward To Double Thailand's Future” - it makes it sound as if there's an echo in the room.

Sort of catchy words, but I suggest most would be left with no idea what 'doubling the future' actually means.

Seems to me that slogans should have a clear and absolute meaning.

If I used FaceBook, I'd be telling Mr T to think up a better, stronger slogan, for example:-

Future Forward for a Better, Stronger Thailand

Yeh . . . much better!

With a party name like that it is almost inviting Prayut and pals to stand for the election under a new party name of the  "Past Backward Party"   ????

Yes, a good suggestion. Or:

'Future Forward for a Fairer Thailand!'

It doesn't mean anything. And yes, politics really ought to stop on the continual dumbing down of both the people's intellect and aspirations, but there we have it.

Sadly folks these days want a tweet, something to share about politics with their pals and then move on to an awfully funny dancing dog video or whatnot. Well, we reap what we sow, I suppose...

Or the more traditional Ruling Oligarchical Party might suffice.

Or:                Future Forward for Equal Education,

Equal Opportunity & Equal Justice for all.

That would get Prayuth scratching his head . . . and reaching for his dictionary.
